I love clam chowder. I mean... I LOVE clam chowder. I like comparing them from restaurant to restaurant. Of course being in the Pacific Northwest, many restaurants offer it. We've never made it at home before, and found that Barefoot Contessa has a recipe. B tried it the other night. It took him a few stops at local grocery stores to find clams in stock. I don't know for sure (Maroo?), but I imagine they are a bit out of season right now. Anyway... you can find the recipe in Family Style, page 28. YUM!
